Diversified Recycling is home to one of the largest recycling facilities in the Midwest.
We sort hundreds of tons of mixed recyclables each day. Our final result is large bales of a single recyclable material, ready to be made into new products.
What happens at Diversified Recycling?
Located in East Hazel Crest, Illinois, our facility sorts through hundreds of tons of mixed recyclables each day. We use many methods to sort the recyclables; magnets, conveyor belts, screens, spinning wheels, computers, bursts of air, eddy currents, optical sorting sensors, and sorting by hand.
Who uses Diversified Recycling?
Diversified Recycling serves municipalities, garbage companies and industrial recycling companies. These groups collect large loads of mixed recyclables from homes, businesses, and manufacturers, and then deliver their loads to us to be sorted and baled.
What happens to recyclables after they are sorted?
After recyclable materials are sorted by type, they are loaded onto waiting semi trucks. From there they are transported to companies to be reused and made into new products.
